  • Christmas Party & H-3 Run: Back by popular demand, the “H-3 Run” will be reprised on Sunday, December 9, in conjunction with the annual PCA-Hawai‘i Christmas Party. Join fellow club members at Keehi Lagoon Beach Park (new location near Budget Car Sales at Lagoon Drive & Aolele St. ) where the Porsches will depart at 3:00 p.m. for another memorable run over the H-3 to Kaneohe and the Christmas party. Champagne reception among the cars begins at 4:00 p.m. at Pohai Nani Good Samaritan Home, 45-090 Namoku St., Kaneohe, beneath the dramatic Koolaus. Champagne and draft beer will be provided by the club. Members may bring wine to share with their table for dinner at 6:00 p.m. Entree choices include delicious prime rib, chicken, or fish. (Last year’s meal was a feast!) After dinner trophies will be presented to winners of the Concours d’Elegance and door prizes and club goodies to dinner guests.

The annual Christmas Party is an event for the whole family. Make your reservations now by contacting Mike Cripps, 239-8506. The complete meal, including champagne and draft beer, door prizes, etc., is just $25/person. Members unable to participate in the run may come directly to Pohai Nani for the reception and dinner. From Kaneohe Bay Drive, turn mauka (Kailua side of Bay View Golf Course, around the fish pond). Pohai Nani is on the Kailua side of Namoku Street. Please make your commitment now and mail the $25 per person payable to PCA-Hawai’i. Time is approaching and we have to commit to our numbers. Send checks to: Mike Cripps, 47-724J Ahuimanu Loop, Kaheohe, HI 96744. RSVP: 239-8506.

Waikiki Elks Lodge Car Show: Also on Sunday, December 2, pristine models of T-Birds, Ford Racers, and Porsches will be displayed on the grounds of the Elks facility in Waikiki. Jonathan Carr, Elks Lodge dining manager, has asked the Porsche Club to participate. Already confirmed are two auto clubs, the Thunderbird Club and the Hawaii Ford Performance Club. Each club has pledged to display 10 cars, each with hopes that the Porsche Club will do the same. Jonathan has set up a BBQ lunch plate for $6-$7 with soft drinks and other beverages for sale within the Lodge. The purpose of this gathering is to visit, share, and view other fine examples of automobiles. It should be a lot of fun and if anyone is interested, please call Jonathan 351-4798, Terry 396-6017, or Darryl 395-4446.
