The
Kick-off for the 2001 Porsche 50-State Drive for Hope was held at the
Hyatt Regency on October 18th. The six drivers shown above left for the
HNL Airport bound for LA to begin the non-stop drive through the other
49 states in 9 days. The engines will not be turned off for the rest of
the trip. John and Joni Arafiles attended and provided the photos and
information.
The
PCNA and the Hope Foundation's main focus for the drive is a Cancer-Free
Future. They will also donate twenty percent of all proceeds raised from
the 2001 Porsche 50-State Drive for Hope to the New York Fire Fighters
9-11 Disaster Relief Fund. The donation will go directly to the families
of the fallen New York fire fighters and EMS personnel. For more information
